- Territory – aapko exclusive area mil raha hai ya nahi, kitne radius me doosra franchise nahi khulega,
- Fees and royalties – one-time franchise fee, ongoing % of revenue, ad funds, hidden charges,
- Brand and quality control – uniform menu/price, supplier restrictions, training, inspections,
- IP protection – trademark, trade secrets, software, manuals ka use aur misuse,
- Term and renewal – contract kitne saal ke liye, renewal conditions kya,
- Exit – termination grounds, post-termination non-compete, unsold stock ka kya hoga.
Franchisee ke liye biggest risk unrealistic projections aur incomplete disclosures hote hain. Only success stories dikha ke failure centres ka mention nahi, toh picture biased ho jati hai.
Signing se pehle financial model, location suitability, aur franchisor reputation independent sources se check karna jaroori hai – contract signing ke baad regret ka scope limited rehta hai.
